Let's create a shift in the industry and take action.
Creative Belgium surveyed the communication industry to see how it was performing on its diversity and inclusion journey. The report shows we have to act now to become a more inclusive and progressive industry. Adapting to this changing world requires an innovation mindset from leaders, and a willingness to step down the hierarchy ladder to have a broader perspective on their company. Together with our training partner YIN UNITED we will drive lasting positive change bottom-up and top-down. Inviting all kinds of thinking to the table, we will stimulate innovation and creativity in the workplace. Because people should be able to show up as their authentic selves in the workplace. We offer individual programs for everyone in a creative industry.

Module 1
Unbiased thinking leads to creative thinking
Creative ideas have the potential to propel our world forwards. In the new economy, old recipes of know how don’t necessarily do the job. On top you need to do more with less, faster. Deciding without having all the info. Change is your only constant. Very often, the pressure to be serious, along with stress, anxiety, self-criticism, routines, assumptions and the fear of not being good enough can hold you back from being fully creative. It’s a skill to be learned. With the right mindset and strategies you can overcome these blocks, inviting creativity back into your daily and professional life. This class gives key lessons to bring the next generation of ideas to life.

Module 2
Growth and career thinking for female leaders
Diversity - including on the grounds of gender - is a real issue in the Belgian creative industry. Men are twice as likely to be in a senior role as women. Without role models and bias in progression structures, this has a huge impact on women’s careers. Women are not progressing to leadership roles and this is seen as the norm in the industry. It’s important to challenge this to address a lack of representation of women and female creativity. Awareness and actions need to happen immediately (quoted in report by Creative Belgium.) It’s thé moment to turn good intentions into concrete visible, measurable support and actions. This is not about fixing a problem, it’s all about potential. There are things that can be done at the level of women, men, teams, organisations and society. Because like Belinda Gates says: when you help lift up women, you help lift humanity. This class gives insights, tactics and a roadmap for female talents. It inspires and challenges them to help lift spirits and create a movement that in the end moves society forward.

Module 3
Future-proof your leadership style for male leaders
How do you flex your brain muscles in new ways? You know that it’s good for your growth potential to create a healthy context for new thinking and doing. What about using partnerships as the fuel for innovative thinking? We see an opportunity in connecting with Millennials who demand inclusive thinking for themselves as well as for others. They want to feel accepted for who they are, regardless of race, religion, background, sexual orientation, etc. They want to see you walk the talk, not just good intentions. Another reality is female empowerment, both as consumers and at work. Today the norm in the Belgian creative industry is to have a lot of male leaders. Men are the gatekeepers. The gatekeepers for positive change. How do you move forward? What makes you a future-proof leader? What are easy starts -from tomorrow on- to lead in this changing landscape, to get the best out of partnerships and to harvest better results? This class feeds your curiosity and is done in a fun and easy going way. It gives insights, tactics and a roadmap for male leaders, or aspiring to be.
